Global Search Terminals

Global search terminals can be located in many of the major cities around Rubi-Ka. You need the Alien Invasion expansion to access these terminals and they allow you to search through the content of all the player shop vendors on Rubi-Ka

Searching for items

Items can be searched for by categories of item type and slot where applicable. You can set to search by minimum and maximum costs and the item name if required. The text search is not case sensitive and will return any partial match with the text entered, be it at the beginning, end or in the middle of the item name.

Once a list of the available items appears you can highlight that item and the location of shop will be displayed in the bottom window of the shop GUI. The location of the shop containing the last highlighted item will also appear on your planet map (‘P’ by default to access your planet map). There is also a new icon on the planet map display to centre the map on the shop location.

Once you reach the shop itself the shop terminal you are looking for will have its name displayed in green text for easy identification.

NOTE: Use Options (F10)>preferences>Environment>Effects>Show all names to switch the names above all terminals on

The player vendor shop can then be accessed just like any other shop interface.

Sided restrictions apply, Clan members cannot access Omni Tek markets and vice versa, Neutral players can access all market buildings. The searches from the Global terminals will automatically filter out terminals that you cannot access.

Owning Player Shops

Players must be members of an organisation that has built a market house in order to rent a shop vendor. Each character in an organisation can own a terminal if there are sufficient vendor terminals available within that market house.

The owner of a terminal can set access levels to the shop that can determine whether, no-one (so they can set prices in peace without worrying about their items being ‘ninja’ bought!), just org members or everyone can use their shop.

You can set the price for an item by clicking on the price displayed on the item when placed in the selling window.

To withdraw items from sale they must be placed in the remove window and confirmed. (i.e. once in a shop you can't just drag and drop an item back into your inventory)

The owner of the shop can also see a sales log of who has bought which items from their vendor.

Org Bank Commission

The organisation leader can set a commission on each sale that is sent directly to the org bank. This can be accessed through the City Controller under the Misc tab.

The maximum commission that can be set is 20%. Note this is not a surcharge but a commission taken from the sale price set by the shop owner. So if a shop owner lists an item at a million credits and the org leader has a 10% commission in place, 900,000 credits would go to the player and 100,000 to the org bank.
